Recycling: There's an app for that!
Exciting programs for teachers and students
MyWaste Recycling App
Now you can get your recycling schedule- and reminders to set your cart out at the curb- right on your smartphone or tablet! Download our free app at www.my-waste.mobi/FrederickMD and you'll stay informed of: upcoming events, Christmas tree recycling, notification if weather affects your recycling collection, hazardous waste drop-off days, etc. Plus, the app contains a database of thousands of common items and information on whether to recycle, dispose or compost them (never wonder which bin to put something in!) with links to helpful resources. You can also use the app to report a recycling collection issue, in case you ever have a damaged cart or a missed recycling pickup. Download today!
Help Us Find You on Facebook to Stay In-The-Know!
We promptly place any changes to curbside recycling service (such delays for storms or shifts for holidays) on our Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/FrederickRecycles). We also post trivia, contest info and links to other helpful resources. But, because we don't pay to adevrtise on Facebook, you may not get notified of our posts.
After "liking" our page, hover your cursor over the word "Liked" and click the "Show in Newsfeed" setting. We only post once or twice per week, so we promise to only keep you up to date, not buried in spam!
